4th Correspondence Polish Championship in Spinning the PIROUETTE Mathematical Top 6 grudnia 2009r.

Each year we organize Correspondence Polish Championship in Spinning the PIROUETTE Mathematical Top. This event takes place on Santa Clause Day - December 6th. The competitions are being held simultanesouly in many places in Poland - educational institutions that declare their willingness to organize it.

In 2006, 1251 competitors took part in this championship being held in 17 educational institutions.

Participants spin the top and try to put on as many rings as it is possible ( more information on the Piruette mathematical top ).

After the end of the competition, Local Organisers are obliged to submit:

• original protocols signed by persons responsible for supervising the course of the competition
• report on the course of the competition prepared on special form
• a few pictures on CD

On the basis of the above documents, the winners are established.

The players are divided into several categories:

• for children at the of 6-10 there was 10 categories (seperate for each age level and seperate for girls and boys)
• open category - no age limit
• category for a child and parent (parent spins the top and child puts on the rings).

Educational institutions that organized the competition in a distinctive way receive the mathematical cards "Addition and subtraction".
